Open Dialogues - (Trailer)
Directed, shot and edited by award-winning filmmaker Freddy Rodriguez, “Open Dialogues: Stories from the LGBTQ Community” is a documentary short that is a collaboration between the Art and Culture Center/Hollywood and 66 Films. The goal of “Open Dialogues” is to inspire conversation about inclusion and equity of South Florida’s LGBTQ community.

The documentary short “Open Dialogues: Stories from the LGBTQ Community” draws upon the coming-out narratives of seven South Florida residents. Each individual was interviewed on camera and spoke openly about their respective coming-out journey. The topics range from personal stories of self acceptance, overcoming rejection/violence based on gender, race, sexual identity, and sexual orientation, and building LGBTQ/Straight alliances.
“Open Dialogues” is an “Official Selection” of the 2020 OutShine LGBTQ Film Festival and a won the Best Broward Doc award at the 2020 Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival. fliff.com/blog/2020winners
