66 Film’s Freddy Rodriguez was one of a handful of Miami filmmakers that received a 2019 Ellie Creator Award from Oolite Arts, one of Miami’s largest support organizations for visual artists and creators.
The 2019 Ellies Creator Awards provides 44 Miami Artists with grants to help realize their projects.
Freddy was honored with a $9,000 grant to write the feature film screenplay PROJECT BALLROOM, which tells the story of Miami’s Gay Ballroom scene of the 1990’s.
66 Films and Freddy Rodriguez thank Oolite Arts, The Ellies, CEO Dennis Scholl, and the Oolite Arts board and esteemed panel of local and national judges for the opportunity.
